DENPASAR - Bali Governor Wayan Koster issued a Circular regarding the implementation of traffic flow restrictions with an odd-even system in tourist destinations.

The issuance of a circular following up on the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 42 of 2021 regarding PPKM Java-Bali including the SE Minister of Transportation Number 64 of 2021 concerning instructions for carrying out domestic travel by land transportation.

"Restricting inflows to tourist destinations that are estimated to have high crowd potential by implementing motorized vehicle traffic regulations," said Koster, Thursday, September 23.

The implementation of traffic flow restrictions with an odd-even system in tourist destinations in Bali, with a number of provisions.

First, the implementation of traffic flow restrictions with an odd-even system is carried out in a limited and gradual manner according to the conditions and results of the evaluation of the development of the spread of COVID-19.

Second, the implementation of traffic flow restrictions with an odd-even system for the first stage, carried out for the location of the Sanur tourist destination, Denpasar City, namely the Matahari Terbit Beach access road, from the I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bypass Intersection to the Matahari Terbit Beach Parking Lot.

Then, the access road to Sanur Beach, from Jalan Hang Tuah Timur to Sanur Beach. Then, there are Segara Beach access roads, Shindu Beach access roads, Karang Beach access roads, Semawang Beach access roads and Merta Sari Beach access roads.

Furthermore, for the tourist destination area of Kuta, Badung Regency, Bali, namely along the Kuta Beach road, which starts from the Kuta Beach Intersection to Bakung Sari Street.

"The mechanism, limiting traffic flow with an odd-even system, is applied to private or individual motorized vehicles. Both four-wheeled motorized vehicles and two-wheeled motorized vehicles with a Motorized Vehicle Number Sign (TNKB) in black and white or according to the amendments," said Koster.

Then, the flow restriction does not apply to vehicles with a red-based TNKB, yellow-based TNKB, TNI and Polri operational service vehicles, vehicles for certain purposes, and logistics transport vehicles.

"Based on the compatibility between the date and the last number of TNKB on the day and hour of the implementation of the restrictions. Namely, Saturdays, Sundays, national holidays and regional facultative holidays," said Koster.

The time for odd-even traffic flow is from 06.30 WITA to 09.30 WITA and in the afternoon from 15.00 WITA to 18.00 WITA.

"This circular comes into effect from the date of its stipulation until there is further notification. Thus this circular letter is submitted to be implemented with discipline and full responsibility," said Koster.
