Medan Polrestabes Asked To Be Transparent In Handling The Case Of Medan Doctors Using Fake Plates At The Russian Consulate

MEDAN - The case of an unscrupulous doctor with the initials MFN who used a CC plate belonging to the Russian Consulate which is suspected to be fake is still being handled by the Medan Police.

However, there is no clarity in the handling of this case. Medan Polrestabes is considered to be closed in handling it.

This was conveyed by the Head of the Postgraduate Health Law Masters Study Program at North Pancabudi University, Redyanto Sidi. He urged the Medan Polrestabes to resolve the case of the alleged fake CC plate belonging to the Russian Consulate.

Redyanto said that there was a difference that the Medan Polrestabes had to explain regarding the position of the FN doctor as a representative of the Russian Consulate or only to represent it.

"If we talk about representatives, it is clear because they have official legality. But if they only represent, it means that individual doctors are limited to being appointed," he said, Wednesday, September 22.

In addition, Redyanto asked the Medan Police to separate and explain the legal context regarding the use of the alleged fake Russian Consulate CC plates and Russian representatives.

"If the doctor is indeed wearing a fake CC plate on his vehicle, then the punishment must be a ticket. However, if he uses a position that is not in accordance with its designation and does not have legality, investigators can investigate further," he explained.

According to him, if from the results of the examination it turns out that the doctor is not a representative of the Russian Consulate, then it is clear that there has been an abuse of position and authority so that the legal context can lead to crime.

"Therefore, the Medan Polrestabes must quickly resolve the cases being handled so that it does not take long and gets the legal certainty that is sought," said Redyanto.

"Please give a ticket if the CC plate of the Russian Consulate is fake. But if the results of the information that the doctor is suspected of not being a representative of the Russian Consulate can be sentenced to the investigation stage for committing abuse of office," he concluded.
