3 Perpetrators Of Freeport Vehicle Vandalism In Tembagapura Arrested

TIMIKA - The Police Sector of Tembagapura, Mimika, Papua is processing the law and detaining three non-employees involved in the case of vandalizing several PT Freeport Indonesia vehicles.

Mimika Police Head of Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Hermanto, said the three people were secured in Barak L (employee barracks) Tembagapura. Not far from where they were secured, the police found three empty bottles of alcoholic Vodka.

"The perpetrators were influenced by alcohol when they vandalized PT Freeport's vehicle in Tembagapura. Behind barrack L, an empty bottle of Vodka was found", said AKP Hermanto, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, September 22.

The three perpetrators of the vandalism of Freeport's vehicle are now in the custody cell of the Tembagapura Police for further legal proceedings.

"He was detained at the Tembagapura Police for further legal proceedings", said Hermanto.

The case of the destruction of several PT Freeport vehicles was only discovered by the Security Risk Management (SRM) officers while patrolling the Barak L area in the early hours of Monday, September 20.

There were four vehicles damaged by the perpetrators, namely the Facility Management operational vehicle type Toyota Hilux pick-up with hull number 01-5817 which had broken glass in the left-center cabin.

Furthermore, the Toyota LWB vehicle number 4948 suffered a broken glass on the left rear door, and the Supply Chain Management (SCM) operational vehicle type Toyota Hilux hull number 01-5802 also suffered a broken front left side glass and the front seat was burned.

The KPI operational vehicle number 01-3367 had broken glass on the left and right front doors and the left middle door.

SRM officers then pursued the person suspected of vandalizing and found a non-employee drunk, then handed it over to the Tembagapura Police.
