MEDAN - A motorized tricycle (Betor) carrying goods hit a pedestrian on Medan-Tebing Tinggi Street KM 16.5, Tanjung Morawa A Village, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. As a result, the pedestrian died.

Head of Traffic Police of Deli Serdang Police, Commissioner SL Widodo, said the betor was driven by Basa Daniel Hutapea (30). While the victim, named Muhammad Yusuf (59).

The accident occurred when the betor was driving from Medan to Tebing Tinggi. Arriving at the scene, Betor avoided a motorcycle that was crossing the road.

"As a result, he hit a pedestrian and left the victim with bruises on the head, bleeding from the ears, bleeding from the nose, bruises on the right and left eyes and died at Rahmat Hidayah General Hospital", said Kompol Widodo, Wednesday, September 22.

Based on the results of the crime scene, the accident occurred due to negligence.

"Because of the negligence of the motorcyclist without a license plate, when driving a motorized tricycle, he was not careful and did not prioritize the safety of pedestrians", he said.
