PALU - Security forces who are members of the Madago Raya Task Force (Satgas) continue to pursue the remnants of Poso terrorists, Central Sulawesi (Central Sulawesi) after the leader of the East Indonesia Mujahideen (MIT) Ali Ahmad alias Ali Kalora and one of his members Jaka Ramadhan were shot, Saturday, September 18 evening.

"Starting from intelligence activities, we received information both manually and by ITE that the presence of two DPOs was in the vicinity of Astina Village, Torue District, Parigi Moutong," said Suleteng Police Chief Inspector General Rudy Sufahriadi in Parigi Moutong, Antara, Sunday, September 19.

Rudy explained, considering the short operating time because it was late in the afternoon and the division of each sector had been carried out, his party dispatched two teams to pursue the Torue area.

From that pursuit, a shootout ensued, and two DPOs were successfully paralyzed. From operations, the Madago Raya Task Force collected a number of evidences including two M16 rifles belonging to DPO.

"The police are taking action in accordance with the standard operating procedure (SOP) for operations," said Rudy.

Currently, there are still four MIT DPOs that are being pursued by the security forces by mobilizing all the capabilities of personnel from various units that are members of Operation Madago Raya.

He also said that the government and the police had urged them to surrender, but operations and pursuit activities continued.

"If these DPOs surrender themselves, we accept them. But the operations will continue, because the actions and actions of this group are clear," said Rudy.

He also asked for the support of residents to work together with the security forces to eradicate terror groups so that Central Sulawesi is free from terrorism.

The success of crippling the MIT leadership, he said, was due to the hard work and persistence of the personnel from the various units involved in the operation.

"This success is the success of all of us. I am grateful and proud of the units that are involved in this activity," he added.

Currently, the bodies of the two Poso terrorists are at the Bhayangkara Police Hospital of Central Sulawesi, after being successfully evacuated from the scene. The two bodies were taken using two ambulances and arrived in Palu, Sunday, at around 04.10 WITA.
