Be Careful! BMKG Predicts Rain In Most Provinces, Also Jakarta

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has issued an early warning about today's weather. The potential for moderate to heavy rain which can be accompanied by lightning and strong winds in most provinces in Indonesia on Sunday 19 September.

The BMKG predicts moderate to heavy rain in the provinces of Aceh, Banten, Bengkulu, DKI Jakarta, Jambi, West Java, East Java, West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, Lampung and Maluku.

The provinces of Papua, West Papua, Riau, West Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, West Sumatra, South Sumatra, and North Sumatra are also forecasted to face moderate to heavy rains.

In addition, the BMKG conveyed an early warning regarding the potential for increasing wind speed in parts of the West Nusa Tenggara Province such as West Lombok, Mataram, Central Lombok, East Lombok, Sumbawa, and Bima.

Meanwhile, the East Nusa Tenggara Province, according to the BMKG weather forecast, has the potential to face strong winds and the risk of forest and land fires.

Meanwhile, the BMKG predicts that in some areas of DKI Jakarta it will be rained with lightning and strong winds from Sunday afternoon to evening. "Be aware of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning/lightning and strong winds of short duration in West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, Central Jakarta, East Jakarta, and South Jakarta in the afternoon and evening," the BMKG early warning wrote on its official website.

During the day, the weather in three areas, namely West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, and East Jakarta, is predicted to rain with moderate and light intensity. Meanwhile, the South Jakarta area is predicted to experience rain accompanied by lightning.

Meanwhile, North Jakarta and the Thousand Islands are predicted to experience cloudy weather.

Continuing into the evening, light rain is predicted to occur in all areas of DKI Jakarta.

Meanwhile, Jakarta's humidity ranges from 65 to 95 percent, with West Jakarta 70-95 percent, Central Jakarta 75-95 percent, and South Jakarta 65-95 percent. Meanwhile, East Jakarta is 65-95 percent, North Jakarta is 75-95 percent, and the Thousand Islands is 85-90 percent.
