Classes Have Been Opened For PTM But Traders Are Still Prohibited From Selling Near Schools

JAKARTA - The Department of Education, Youth and Sports (Disdikpora) of North Penajam Paser Regency, East Kalimantan has banned street vendors from selling around schools when face-to-face learning (PTM) is limited.

Head of the North Penajam Paser Disdikpora Alimuddin in Penajam, Saturday, explained that the ban was to anticipate crowds and at the same time minimize the potential for the spread of COVID-19 among students.

"We ask for the cooperation of the sub-district head, village head, and lurah and their staff to help monitor conditions outside of school during face-to-face learning," said Alimuddin as quoted by Antara, Saturday, September 18.

He said the importance of preventing the transmission of COVID-19 in PTM activities.

"The spread of the corona virus must be prevented when studying face-to-face at schools, one of which is that traders should not sell around schools," he added.

Supervision of conditions outside the school is carried out so that PTM in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic runs safely and smoothly.

"Implementing limited face-to-face learning in collaboration with the COVID-19 Task Force for districts, sub-districts, sub-districts and local villages," said Alimuddin

According to him, the importance of implementing strict health protocols by schools in PTM is limited so that new clusters of corona virus transmission do not occur.

The North Penajam Paser Disdikpora also encouraged all schools in the green zone to start implementing limited PTM.

The implementation of PTM is limited in all schools, said Alimuddin, to cover the loss and lack of student learning time so far due to the pandemic.
