Holywings Kemang Manager Becomes Suspect, Deputy Governor Of DKI: Law Must Be Enforced

JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria asked all business place managers to obey the rules during PPKM.

This is in response to the determination of the suspect to the management of Holywings Kemang. Riza asked that this case of violation of health protocols be a lesson for all parties.

"Hopefully this can be a lesson for all. Don't take it lightly, don't be negligent, don't be slack. Don't think that everything can be solved in your own way, we all have rules, we have laws that must be enforced," said Riza at the DKI City Hall. , Central Jakarta, Friday, September 17.

Regarding the determination of the suspect, Riza asked all parties to respect the applicable legal decisions. For anyone who violates, they must be held accountable.

"If it's good, of course you have to get a reward or award, on the contrary, if you violate it, you must get sanctions. Starting from administrative sanctions, social work, fines, temporary closures, revocation of permits, to criminal sanctions," he said.

Previously, the manager of the Holywings Kemang Cafe, with the initials JAS, was named a suspect in a case of alleged violation of the health procedure. The determination is based on sufficient evidence and the results of the case.

"Based on the results of the investigation. After fingerprinting to investigating. One suspect with the initials JAS, the manager of Holywings has been named as a suspect," said Yusri.

With the determination of the suspect, JAS is suspected of under Article 216 and also 218 of the Criminal Code and Article 14 of the Indonesian Law concerning infectious disease outbreaks. However, JAS was not arrested.

The reason behind JAS not being detained was because investigators considered several things. One of them, the threat of imprisonment for this case is less than five years.

Meanwhile, the violation of health protocols at Holywings Kemang occurred on Saturday, September 4 evening. Initially, the sanction was in the form of temporarily closing the place of business for 3x24 hours since Sunday, September 5.

However, after the DKI Provincial Government evaluated the record of history of violating health protocols. Apparently, Holywings Kemang has committed three violations. Finally, the suspension of the business license was granted and the DKI Provincial Government imposed a fine of Rp. 50 million.

This sanction was applied because Holywings Kemang allowed crowds of customers, violated the maximum capacity of 25 percent, and operated after 21.00 WIB.
