JAKARTA - The West Java Regional Police's Special Criminal Investigation Directorate has arrested two West Bandung Regency Government officials. Both are suspected of being involved in corruption in the contract labor agreement (TKK) case.
The arrests of the two government officials took place Friday, December 13. They had the initials TS and IBS, who served at the Regional Archives and Library Office of West Bandung Regency.
Deputy Director of the West Java Regional Police Special Criminal Investigation, AKBP Hari Brata, confirmed the case of the arrest. However, he was reluctant to explain further about the sit-in case involving the two government officials.
"Yes, that's right (About the Capturing)," he said when confirmed, Sunday, December 15.
Separately confirmed, the Head of the Legal Division of the West Bandung Regency Regional Secretariat, Siti Nurhayati, also confirmed the case of the arrest of the two government officials.
However, he said that he did not know in detail about the case so he could not talk much. This is because he only received information about the arrest two days ago or Saturday, December 14th.
"I just got the information. TS has been secured at the Regional Police. I do not know whether there is another name or not," said Siti.
He was reluctant to comment further when touched on the suspicion that the two government officials were arrested for being involved in corruption in the recruitment of prospective Contract Workers (TKK) employees.
"We can't confirm (the assistance) yet," he said.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Regent of West Bandung, Hengky Kurniawan, confirmed the corruption case in the recruitment of prospective contract workers, which became the basis for the arrest of the two government officials.
He added that the problem of contract labor has become quite troubling in the West Bandung Regency Government. Because, many people are playing.
"The problem with TKK from the start that we were inaugurated was quite unsettling, many people played," said Hengky
"There are not just one or two victims, but maybe more. It's just that they don't dare to report, because maybe they have already deposited some money," he added.
