Disappointed With KPK, Coalition Of Civil Society, Saut Situmorang, Novel Baswedan Et Al Set Up Emergency Office For Corruption Eradication

The action of establishing the Corruption Eradication Emergency Office in front of the Anti-corruption Learning Center (ACLC) Building

JAKARTA - Civil society established an Emergency Corruption Eradication Office in front of the Anti-corruption Learning Center (ACLC) Building as a form of disappointment with the performance of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the eradication of corruption in Indonesia.

"What we are doing now is in line with President Jokowi's Mental Revolution, the top point of the Mental Revolution is integrity, we have to remind that again," said former KPK Deputy Chair Saut Situmorang, in front of the KPK ACLC Building, Jakarta, reported by Antara, Wednesday, 15th of September.

Saut Situmorang attended the action along with representatives of other civil society coalitions as well as a number of KPK employees who were declared Unqualified (TMS) in the National Insight Test (TWK), including Novel Baswedan and Yudi Purnomo.

The Coalition will have an office every Tuesday and Friday at 16.00-17.00 WIB at the emergency office. People who want to express their aspirations about eradicating corruption are welcome to visit the emergency office.

"At this emergency office, people leave a letter to President Jokowi. The contents of the letter are the cancellation of the National Insight Test which fired 57 KPK employees and fulfilled its promise to eradicate corruption in Indonesia," said Saut.

Saut said that the 57 KPK employees who did not pass the TWK and were eventually dismissed were not beggars, and the act of establishing an emergency office was a struggle for justice and truth.

Meanwhile, Saor Siagian as one of the attorneys for 57 KPK employees said that the employees who were eliminated from the KPK were those who could not be compromised.

"KPK chairman Firli Bahuri is a problematic person. Not only Firli, the KPK Supervisory Board has also designated Lili Pintauli Siregar as an ethical violator. It was these ethical violators who designed the TWK and dismissed employees who were reluctant to compromise," said Saor.

The action was also supported by the All-Indonesian Student Executive Board (BEM), Clean Indonesia Coalition, ICW, Amnesty International, YLBHI, LBH Jakarta, SERBUK, KASBI, KPBI, LBH PP Muhammadiyah, and the Anti-Corruption Civil Society Coalition.

Today, the KPK leadership has announced the plan to honorably discharge 56 employees who did not pass the TWK on September 30, 2021.

The KPK is known to be working with BKN to carry out TWK on March 18 to April 9, 2021 for a total of 1,351 employees.

As a result, there are 1,274 employees who meet the requirements, while 75 people who do not meet the requirements. There were eight employees who did not participate in TWK because they were studying abroad (3 people), retired (1 person), resigned (2 people), dismissed (1 person), and without information (1 person).

Employees who are declared to have met the requirements have been inducted into ASN on June 1, 2021, namely 1,271 employees.

Furthermore, there are 18 employees who have attended the State Defense Training on July 2-August 22, 2021 and have been declared graduated, so they are inaugurated today. Meanwhile, 6 employees who refuse to conduct training together with 50 employees who are declared TMS will be dismissed on September 30.

Three employees who have just completed their overseas assignments will take part in the TWK starting September 20, 2021.
