Gibran Twice To The Surakarta Rutan Immediately Gives Praise: It's Outstanding

SOLO - Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka appreciated the inmates at the Class 1 Rutan in Surakarta, Central Java, who were fostered to be productive, so that they can come out freely and be independent.

Gibran said that he had previously made a working visit to the Class 1 Rutan Surakarta. At that time, there were sewing machines, but they were not yet produced, but now there is a garment industry.

"I came to the Surakarta Class 1 Rutan, this is the second time, it's been extraordinary. The inmates have been trained by the Vocational Training Center (BLK) and I was also shown a certificate," Gibran said as reported by Antara, Wednesday, September 15.

According to Gibran, the garment industry in this prison, now has many orders such as collared shirts, hem, and trousers, there are thousands of pieces.

In fact, this community assisted citizen in the Class 1 Rutan Surakarta, said Gibran, previously received orders to make 3,900 goodie bags and this is very extraordinary.

These community-assisted residents (WBP) of Class 1 Surakarta Rutan, are really fostered to be productive, because they have soft and hard skills. Besides being able to shave their hair, they can also screen print, paint, sew, and some can design very extraordinary things.

"So the inmates at the Surakarta Rutan are productive, so when they leave they can be entrepreneurs or apply in factories. For this, I appreciate that the Surakarta Rutan really supports the inmates to do better in the future," said Gibran.

Gibran hopes that the detention center will build more factories so that all inmates are productive. "I see that the quality of control is not the same as in the factories, and all the equipment is complete in the detention center.

The Head of the Class 1 Rutan of Surakarta City, Urip Dharma Yoga, thanked the work of the Mayor of Surakarta, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, who provided support for the existence of a productive detention center, namely the garment industry in Surakarta City.

"We received a visit from the Mayor of Surakarta who provided support in the form of medicines, vitamins and masks for the inmates, and he also visited the Class 1 Rutan of Surakarta which was converted into a productive detention center to form a garment industry inside the detention center.
