CIREBON - The Veterinary Medical Team of the Agriculture and Fisheries Food Security Service (DKPPP), Cirebon City, West Java, examined samples from hundreds of sparrows that died in mass at the Cirebon City Hall yard.

"We will take samples first, to determine the cause of the mass death of the sparrows," said the Cirebon City DKPPP Veterinary Medical Team, Tri Angka, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, September 14.

He said the samples taken would be taken to the laboratory to be tested, to determine the cause of death of hundreds of sparrows in the Cirebon City Hall yard.

Sample testing takes time because it must be sent to a laboratory in Bandung or in Subang.

"We will send this sample to a laboratory in Bandung or Subang, to find out the results," he said.

Tri said the mass death of hundreds of birds was the first time in the city of Cirebon so it needed more definitive testing

related to the cause of death of hundreds of birds due to extreme weather or pesticides.

"This is the first time this has happened in Cirebon City, and it will take time to determine the cause of death," he said.

Previously, the janitor at Cirebon City Hall, was shocked by the death of hundreds of sparrows that used to stop in the trees, and they immediately cleaned and secured the ones that were still alive.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, September 14, the city of Cirebon and its surroundings was rained with moderate intensity until it lasted until noon.
