To Prevent Density, Banten Police Limits Number Of Tourists

BANTEN - The Banten Regional Police have limited the accumulation of tourists heading to Anyer Beach, Cinangka, Carita, and surrounding areas by blocking vehicles going to the beach tourism object in Cilegon, Sunday.

"If it is observed that there has been an accumulation of as much as 25 percent, then officers will divert the flow by blocking and returning vehicles to their respective areas," said Head of Public Relations of the Banten Police AKBP Shinto Silitonga in Serang.

He said that currently Anyer Beach, Carita, and its surroundings are the target of the community to be chosen as tourist attractions on weekend holidays. To prevent crowds that cause the potential for COVID-19 transmission, the Banten Police have implemented restrictions with a maximum capacity of 25 percent.

This is in accordance with the Implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) according to the Minister of Home Affairs No. 38 of 2021 concerning tourist objects with a maximum capacity of 25 percent to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The blocking point in the Anyer area is at the JLS Cilegon intersection and the Teneng Anyer intersection and the blocking time is seen from the density of tourists when it is 25 percent, then the insulation will be carried out. "Starting at 13:30 local time, the Cilegon Police Traffic Unit began to enforce a vehicle turn around at the Ciwandan JLS intersection towards the Anyer tourist route, because the number of tourist visitors to Anyer had exceeded 25 percent," said Shinto.

Vehicles that can pass to Anyer are only employees of the critical sector, employees of the essential sector, and residents of Anyer who are required to show their ID cards," said Shinto Silitonga.
