Anyone Suspect Sufmi Dasco Could Be Coordinating Minister For Politics, Law And Security, Observer: When Prabowo's Men Become Superiors?

JAKARTA - The name of the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, is on the radar of new ministerial candidates for the Jokowi-Ma'ruf Amin cabinet. The daily chairman of the Gerindra Party is the champion in a cabinet reshuffle.

In fact, it is predicted that Prabowo Subianto's subordinate will occupy the position of Coordinating Minister for Politics, Law, and Human Rights (Menko Polhukam).

A political observer from Al Azhar University in Indonesia, Ujang Komaruddin, believes that Jokowi can't appoint Sufmi Dasco as a minister because Gerindra has only two seats in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet. Except, Dasco entered to replace Prabowo Subianto or Sandiaga Uno.

"It could be that Dasco replaces Prabowo or Sandiaga. Since it is impossible for him to be a cadre, Gerindra will add one more seat. So, even if he does enter, at least Prabowo resigns or replaces Sandiaga", Ujang told VOI, Sunday, September 12

However, if the position of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs, the Director of the Indonesia Political Review (IPR) admits that he is not sure Dasco will get the position. The reason is, he will be Prabowo Subianto's superior who is the Minister of Defense.

While in the party, Prabowo is the general chairman of Gerindra and Dasco is his subordinate.

"As for the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, I'm not sure because he will be Prabowo's superior, that's impossible, it's funny too", said Ujang.

Then, continued Ujang, the coalition parties would not agree because Gerindra was the last coalition party to join.

"PDIP also won't want it because Gerindra has recently joined the coalition because reconciliation, when many parties supported Jokowi's administration and the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, was an important position", explained Ujang.

While the position of Mahfud MD, Ujang was admitted in an unsafe condition. However, it is impossible to replace Sufmi Dasco.

"Mahfud shakes a little, but it depends on Jokowi. If Dasco, I'm not sure, can Prabowo be his subordinate?", said Ujang Komaruddin.
