The arrest began with information from the public that 1 (one) unit of Toyota Land Cruiser VX 80 had passed from Malaysia to Indonesia.

The SSK II Commander Koki Jagoi Babang followed up on the information by contacting the Customs and Excise Action Team and conducting joint patrols for sweeping and chasing from Jagoi Babang Subdistrict to Sewide Subdistrict.

"Precisely in the Segorong area, Sewide District, it was found the car in question, namely the Toyota Land Cruiser VX 80 type, then the Pamtas Task Force personnel and the Customs and Excise Action Team forcibly stopped and the car stopped with the engine still running, the right door was open but the driver succeeded. run away," he said.

Currently, evidence of one unit of Toyota Land Cruiser VX 80 has been handed over to the Customs and Excise office of the West Kalimantan Regional Office for further inspection. Meanwhile, one of the perpetrators who fled has his name pocketed and is still in the process of being searched.

Head of the Jagoi Babang Customs Office, Junanto Kurniawan, said the illegal car was confiscated by Customs and will then be auctioned off by the state and the smugglers will still be sought by the relevant authorities.
