Reasons For Police Rejecting ITE Law Report On MS, Suspected Victim Of Sexual Harassment At KPI

JAKARTA - The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Yusri Yunus said the reason for the rejection was because the case of alleged perpetrators of EO and RT harassment was still ongoing at the Central Jakarta Metro Police Headquarters.

As is known, two of the five men were reported for cases of alleged sexual harassment that befell another KPI employee with the initials MS. The bullying case that led to the harassment is still being handled by the Central Jakarta Metro Police.

According to Yusri, the refusal of the report was due to the police investigation process on the MS victim's report. So that his party still has not been able to receive the EO and RT reports.

"So, for example, I was accused of stealing, this is being processed by the police but suddenly I don't accept my report of defamation. Is it okay? This is not the case," Yusri said when confirmed by VOI, Saturday, September 11.

Yusri explained, if the case is finished and the result is that EO and RT are found guilty, then both of them cannot report MS for defamation.

Unless the results of the investigation found both of them not guilty. Then the EO and RT can continue to report to the police for defamation.

"So this is still an investigation and investigation. It's time to immediately report back on defamation," said Yusri.

As is known, two of the five alleged perpetrators of sexual harassment at the KPI Office intend to report back to their victims for defamation. However, the report was rejected by the police.

MS's attorney, Rony Hutahaen, responded to information on the rejection of the ITE Law report on defamation by alleged perpetrators of sexual harassment and bullying of MS at Polda Metro Jaya.

According to Rony, the rejection of the ITE Law report against MS should be rejected because the public should not think that the police report is used as a tool to pressure the victim.

"Thanks to the police of the Republic of Indonesia, especially the Polda Metro Jaya for their refusal. The police in this case work objectively and professionally," he said when confirmed by VOI, Saturday, September 11.
