JAKARTA - Gold jewelry is an accessory that is in demand by many people to support their performance. The gold jewelry can be in the form of bracelets, necklaces, and earrings.

Every time the trend of gold jewelry models is shifting. Recently, among Generation Z or Gen Z, the gold model that is highly loved is the simple or timeless model.

"For the current trending models, they are simple models, yes, or timeless ones," said Brand Manager of The Palace Jewelery, Winy Melita, in Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday, March 10, 2025.

Gen Z is said to have his own reasons for liking the gold jewelry model with a simple model. This is because simple and timeless models can be used at any time and in any event, be it formal or informal.

"Gen Z now prefers the timeless model because it can be used at any moment," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the amount of carat or the measure of gold purity that people like varies for every region in Indonesia. Like in Medan, people tend to like gold jewelry with 25 carats, while in Jakarta they prefer 18 carats.

"If it's uncertain to carat, yes, in every region, in every city in Indonesia the frequency can be different. Maybe in Medan, 25 carat gold is preferable, 18 carat in Jakarta, and in Bandung it is more likely to be 9 carat," he concluded.
