Mothers Beat Neighbors With Stones Out Of Anger

BANYUWANGI - Police arrested a housewife with the initials SH (54), a resident of Parangharjo Village, Songgon District, Banyuwangi, East Java. He is suspected of molesting his neighbor Homsatun, causing bruises to appear on his face.

The reason is trivial, the perpetrators do not accept the land in their yard as a waste of washing water.

Songgon Sector Police Chief Iptu Eko Darmawan said the incident took place on Saturday, September 4. Because he didn't accept it, the victim reported the abuse to the police station.

"We received a report from the Homsatun victim that the alleged perpetrator had abused him with a stone until he was bruised and bleeding on his face," said Eko, Friday, September 10.

Based on the victim's statement, the chronology began when the perpetrator did not accept that the land behind his house was used as a waste of water used for washing. The two then got into an argument until the persecution ensued.

"Because of being emotional, the perpetrator then threw bricks at the victim's face so that the bruises on the left eye were swollen and there were abrasions on the nose until they bled. From there the victim decided to report the incident to the police," said Eko.

The police then conducted an investigation until, on Thursday 9 September, the perpetrator was arrested. The police arrested the suspect in Article 351 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code regarding persecution.
