JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan considers the violation of health protocols at Holywings Kemang, South Jakarta not only to violate the rules, but also to endanger the fate of Jakarta residents.

Anies said, a business activity that has been allowed to operate during the pandemic by the government must protect visitors and protect Jakarta residents. Therefore, any violation at Holywings Kemang cannot be tolerated.

"When there is a violation like the Holywings case, don't look at it, oh this violates the governor's regulation, this violates the regional regulation, no. This betrays millions of people for months," said Anies at DKI City Hall, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, September 8.

He explained that violating health protocols in an activity endangered two aspects, namely the health and economy of Jakarta residents.

When places like Holywings break the rules, it's scary for all economists. Because, from there it will cause the potential for COVID-19 transmission. It is not impossible that COVID-19 cases will surge again and the government will again apply emergency brakes.

"So, Holywings and the like, he has betrayed millions of people who work. Half to death at home, then this place is facilitated, it really undermines everyone's efforts," said Anies.

"Because of that, we will not allow something like this to pass without a heavy hit. What are the sanctions? No surgery, period, until this pandemic is over. Because you have shown that you have no responsibility for this issue," he continued. , the violation of health protocols at Holywings Kemang occurred on Saturday, September 4th. The sanction given was initially in the form of temporary closure of the place of business for 3x24 hours since Sunday, September 5.

However, after the DKI Provincial Government evaluated the record of history of violating health protocols. Apparently, Holywings Kemang has committed three violations. Finally, the suspension of the business license was granted and the DKI Provincial Government imposed a fine of Rp. 50 million.

This sanction was applied because Holywings Kemang allowed crowds of customers, violated the maximum capacity of 25 percent, and operated after 21.00 WIB.

With the suspension of permits, Holywings Kemang is prohibited from operating until the PPKM period in Jakarta ends. Meanwhile, the government will continue to implement PPKM during the COVID-19 pandemic.
