Two Members Of The Ngalum Kupel Group Successfully Arrested In Oksibil, Two M16 Weapons Seized

JAYAPURA - Koramil 1715-05/Batom together with Linmas of Batom District arrested two members of the Papuan Separatist Terrorist Group (KSTP) Ngalum Kupel, the leader of Lamek Taplo in Oksibil district, Bintang Mountains Regency.

Danrem 172/Praja Wira Yati, Brigadier General Izak Pangemanan said the arrests started with information from the people of Kampung Abukerom. They saw two unidentified people (OTK) using a Johnson boat from the direction of PNG to Mongham (KSTP base area), which was damaged in Muara village.

"This was then reported to the Koramil 1715-05/Batom," said Brigadier General Izak in an official statement received by VOI, Tuesday, September 7.

Furthermore, he said, using a speedboat, as many as 4 Koramil members led by Sertu Ari Netson Arabia along with several youths and members of Linmas headed to Muara Village. Then they laid siege in the middle of the Oksip – Mongham river.

They managed to arrest two KSTP members named Yulian Uropmabin (36) and Kapol Uropmabin (42). The two suspects were then secured at the Batom Military Command for further examination and detention.

From these arrests, Koramil members helped to secure a number of evidences. Among other things, two M16 weapons, one of which is equipped with a GLM, one Double Loop weapon, two assembled long-barreled weapons, 5.56 mm 35 rounds of ammunition.

Then, two GLM munitions, two cell phones, six sharp weapons, one solar cell, five flash disks, one OPM flag, three "open" flags, two small "open" flags.

Then one slingshot, one FC KK, one Health Card, two plane tickets, one pocket book, eight bags, one umbrella tent, one membership card in the name of Yulian Uropmabin.
