100 Percent Of Tourism Workforce In Bali Already Vaccinated

DENPASAR - Head of the Bali Provincial Tourism Office, I Putu Astawa, said that the vaccination of workers in the tourism sector has been 100 percent completed.

"From February to September 2021 vaccinations for tourism workers have been carried out. And now, you could say one hundred percent of the tourism workforce in Bali has been vaccinated", said Astawa, in Denpasar, Bali, Friday, September 3.

Vaccination activities for tourism workers have been closed with the submission of certificates to the Bali Tourism Office's vaccination task force team, on Thursday, September 2nd.

The desire of the Bali tourism component to accelerate the opening of Bali tourism, which has been in a slump, has prompted the Tourism Office to take quick steps by creating a program that can make the tourism world recover quickly.

"One of the most effective ways to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 is through a vaccination program to build herd immunity in the tourism sector", he added.

According to him, the implementation of the vaccination is the umpteenth program in a series of programs that have been implemented in preparation for the opening of Bali tourism for international tourists.

As for previous programs, such as the application of health protocols in all tourism businesses, CHSE verification of tourism facilities, which so far have reached 1,137 tourism businesses with certificates.

The tourism sector has also implemented CHSE in tourism businesses, carried out simulations at I Ngurah Rai Airport, established a green zone, and prepared SOPs for handling international tourists.

"Now the tourism workforce has also been vaccinated", he explained.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Vaccination Task Force, Ketut Yoga Iswara, explained that the tourism workforce vaccination program was carried out by making an application.

"By communicating and coordinating intensively with the ministry of tourism and the creative economy in Jakarta, as well as coordination with the Bali Provincial Health Office, the vaccination process has finally run, although it is not as expected because the number of vaccines provided is also very limited", said Yoga.
