JAKARTA - The Tanah Abang Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit arrested a man who stole electrical equipment worth Rp. 76 million rupiah. The incident occurred at the 57 Promenade project, Jalan Teluk Betung I, Kebon Melati Village, Tanah Abang District, Central Jakarta.

The perpetrator is known to have the initials WG (40) from Cilacap, Central Java. In the action, the perpetrators stole 301 T Screws/fittings, 243 El Bow Screws/fittings, 1 6-inch Branc Valve, 10 Shit Glass, 100 Cover Head Spinkers, 1 Head Spinker and goods documents with losses reaching tens of thousands. million.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tanah Abang Metro Police, Kompol Haris, said that the suspect's arrest began with the report of a victim named Pur (43). The victim reported that his company where he worked suffered losses due to the theft.

"The suspect WG carried out the theft with his friend Timbul (DPO). Both of them worked on the project," Kanit told VOI, Friday, September 3.

When the two perpetrators were about to leave the project area, both were checked by security at the scene. However, the security forces were surprised when they found out that the two perpetrators had stolen 42 units of T Screw fittings.

"When he was about to be arrested, Timbul fled," he said.

Furthermore, the police carried out developments to find the fugitive perpetrator.

"Development was carried out in the rented house occupied by the two suspects, the items were found with a total value of Rp. 76 million rupiah," he said.

Until now, the theft case is still under investigation by the Tanah Abang Police. The perpetrators were charged with Article 363 of the Criminal Code regarding the crime of theft with weights.
