JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya arrested two people who broke into the PeduliLindung website data to produce a vaccine certificate. One of the perpetrators is a staff member of the Kapuk Muara Village, North Jakarta.

"Two actors share roles, one as a marketing officer who sells to the public through a Facebook account and after receiving an order, the next perpetrator makes it," said Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran to reporters, Friday, September 3.

The two suspects are FH (24) a private employee who owns a Facebook account by the name of Tri Putra Heru and HH (30) as a staff of Kapuk Muara Village, North Jakarta.

"After communication with the Facebook account, it was discovered that the account was selling vaccine certificates without going through vaccination and could be directly connected to PeduliLindung with the price of a vaccine certificate card at Rp. 370 thousand," said Fadil.

After FH gets a customer, the customer data will be given to the suspect HH. He will retrieve the population identification number (NIK) through the BPJS data which is connected to the PeduliLindung site.

"The perpetrator (HH) has access to population data. The perpetrator has access and then cooperates with his partner to sell it to the public," said Fadil.

"After (HH) gains access to the NIK, then the person concerned makes a vaccine certificate by using a password and user name (at PeduliLindung)," continued Fadil.

From the results of the examination, it was known that the two suspects had sold 93 vaccine certificates.

In addition, the police also arrested those who ordered vaccine certificate services, namely AN (21) and DI (30). They are known to order the service to fulfill the requirements for activities during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"These two play a role in purchasing certificates without being vaccinated on the Facebook account that I mentioned above. Tri Putra Heru is priced at Rp. 350 thousand rupiah, one for Rp. 500 thousand rupiah," said Fadil.
