The Results Of The Last Presidential Candidate Survey Are Still In A Distended Position, Airlangga Asks Golkar Cadres To Prepare For The 2024 Election

JAKARTA - General Chairperson of the Golkar Party DPP Airlangga Hartarto asked all of his cadres to prepare for the 2024 general election (election) which will take place in approximately 30 months.

"According to the 2024 election schedule that has been agreed between the DPR RI, the RI KPU, and the Government, that the presidential election and legislative member elections will take place on February 21, 2024. We only have 30 months to prepare until voting day," said Airlangga to Golkar Party cadres in Sorong, West Papua, quoted by Antara, Thursday, September 2.

Airlangga added that the initial stages of the election will take place in March 2022. Therefore, the 2021 Golkar Party National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) has set this year as the year of socialization towards the 2024 presidential election (pilpres).

Election socialization, Airlangga said, can use social media and outdoor media such as "billboards" and "videotron".

However, the main preparatory step is the internal consolidation of the Golkar Party.

"Party institutions will be strong when the consolidation of Golkar Party organizations and cadres is well managed and evenly distributed in villages and even hamlets in all corners of the country," explained the General Chairperson of the Golkar Party DPP.

Airlangga said that those who will be plotted as candidates for legislative members will also be immediately involved in winning the 2024 Presidential Election and 2024 Legislative Election.

Meanwhile, for the regional head election in 2024, Airlangga said that the Golkar Party has political capital, one of which is shown by the vote gains in the 2024 Pilkada.

"The Golkar Party can win the 2020 Pilkada by 61.11 percent, exceeding the target set by the Golkar Party DPP by 60 percent," said Airlangga, appreciating the management and cadres.

Airlangga's meeting with Golkar Party cadres in Sorong took place when he inaugurated the new board of the Golkar Party DPD West Papua Province, Thursday, September 2.

During the inauguration ceremony, Airlangga congratulated the new board of directors led by Lamberthus Jitmau.

Indicator Survey

The Indicators survey institute presented the results of a survey on the electability of political figures towards the election of presidential candidates in the 2024 General Election.

In a simulation of 15 political figures, the Executive Director of Indicators Burhanuddin Muhtadi said that Prabowo Subianto was in the highest rank of public presidential candidate with 26.2 percent support.

Prabowo's electability beat Ganjar Pranowo in second place with 20.8 percent electability and Anies Baswedan who received 15.5 percent support.

Meanwhile, the electability of the names of other political figures is far from the top three names. Ridwan Kamil ranks fourth with an electability of 5.7 percent.

Below him, there is Sandiaga Uno with 5.4 percent electability, then Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono at 5.4 percent, Khofifah Indar Parawansa 2.6 percent, Mahfud MD 1.9 percent, Gatot Nurmantyo 1.7 percent.

Then, Erick Thohir got 1.6 percent electability, Tito Karnavian 1.3 percent, Airlangga Hartato 1.1 percent, Muhaimin Iskandar 0.4 percent, Puan Maharani 0.4 percent, and Budi Gunawan 0.1 percent.
