Son In Medan Kills Father And Brother Threatened With Life In Prison, Had Wanted To Poison Through Drinks

MEDAN - A child's family murder committed against his father and older brother on Jalan Tengku Amir Hamzah, Gang Pribadi, Sei Agul Village, West Medan District, was revealed by the police.

Medan Deputy Chief of Police, AKBP Irsan Sinuhaji said the motive for the murder was Muhammad Arsyad Kertonawi (21) because he felt hurt because he felt he was considered a stepdaughter by his father. The suspect also wanted to poison his parents through the drinks they served.

"The suspect's motive is to hurt his parents because the suspect has been feeling neglected," said AKBP Irsan, Tuesday, August 31.

Irsan explained that this murder had been planned by the suspect. Initially, on Saturday, August 28, in the morning, the perpetrator bought 2 knives at Sukaramai Market and stored them in a cupboard.

The perpetrator then made a drink that had been mixed with poison for his family. However, the suspect's sister, Afifah Nurul Zannah, who smelled the unpleasant aroma in the drink, asked the suspect and refused to drink it.

"Then, the suspect's sister and mother went to the room. Next, the perpetrator took a knife in the cupboard and stabbed his father, Sugeng (50) in the neck and stomach. The suspect's action was known by the perpetrator's brother, Riski Sarbaini (21). The incident spontaneously threw a helmet at the perpetrator," he explained.

Next, the perpetrator went to the victim (Riski) and stabbed him in the chest and stomach. After executing the two victims, the suspect then entered the room and met his mother.

Feeling still annoyed with the victim (Riski), the perpetrator returned to his brother and then vented his emotions by stabbing the victim's stomach again 6 times.

"As a result of his actions, the suspect was charged with Article 340 regarding premeditated murder, Article 338 sub 351 Paragraph 3 of the Criminal Code with the threat of life imprisonment," said AKBP Irsan.
