Following Prosecutor's Instructions, Police Headquarters Optimistic That Munarman Terror Suspect Documents Are Complete

JAKARTA - The National Police has again handed over the investigation file of the alleged terrorism case with the suspect Munarman to the Attorney General's Office (AGO). Because, previously the research prosecutor returned the file because it was considered incomplete.

"Yes, it's been (Munarman's file was sent). On August 16, 2021," said the Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan when confirmed, Tuesday, August 31.

In completing the investigation file, said Ramadhan, the Densus 88 Anti-terror investigator followed the instructions from the research prosecutor. So, it is very likely that the submitted file will be declared complete.

"The file has been handed back to the prosecutor after the investigators fulfilled the instructions from the prosecutor," said Ramadhan.

If it is later declared complete, Densus 88 Anti-terror will immediately delegate phase 2. This means that Munarman will immediately be processed in court.

"If it is later declared complete, it will proceed to the prosecution stage," said Ramadhan.

Munarman was arrested by Densus 88 on Tuesday, April 27 at around 15.30 WIB at Modern Hills Housing, Cinangka, Pamulang, South Tangerang.

During the arrest process, Munarman was not given the opportunity to explain anything. In fact, to just use sandals. When he arrived at Polda Metro Jaya, Munarman was taken away blindfolded and handcuffed.

Munarman is suspected of mobilizing other people to commit acts of terrorism, having bad intentions to commit acts of terrorism and hiding information about criminal acts of terrorism.

After the arrest of Munarman, the Densus 88 team also conducted a search of the former office of the banned FPI mass organization in Petamburan, Central Jakarta. During the search, the team found explosive raw materials for TATP or triacetone triperoxide, acetone, and nitrate.

Munarman has also been named a suspect a week before his arrest or April 20. The suspect was identified based on a certificate from the Police.
