JAKARTA - The case of hacking the official website of the Indonesian Cabinet Secretariat (Setkab) which is handled by the Directorate of Cybercrime, Bareskrim Polri, only has one suspect with the initials BS alias ZYY aged 18 years.

Head of the Public Information Section (Kabag Penum) of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan, said the case was still being handled by the Directorate of Cyber Crime and Criminal Investigation of the Police.

"For the suspect BS, the case continues, while another suspect with the initials MLA is resolved by a diversion agreement because one of the suspects is still a minor, so the case is resolved through diversion," Ramadhan told reporters, Monday, August 30.

Previously, the Directorate of Cyber Crime and Criminal Investigation of the National Police arrested two teenage hackers on the Indonesian Secretariat website www.setkab.go.id with the initials BS and MLA in the Padang area, West Sumatra. BS was arrested Thursday, August 5, while MLA was arrested the following day on Friday, August 6.

The second arrest was made on the report of the hacking of the Secretariat website that occurred on Saturday, July 31. Hacking is done by changing the appearance of the website so that it cannot be used.

The website image display was changed to a youth image display covering his face with the Red and White Flag.

From the results of the examination, suspect BS is known to have hacked at home and abroad as many as 650 websites. The motive is to seek profit from selling hacked sites.

During the investigation process, the Cyber Directorate requested that the settlement of cases against MLA suspects who are still minors use the juvenile justice system, namely a diversion agreement.

In the diversion agreement process, MLA was accompanied by the Class I Correctional Service (Bapas) South Jakarta.
