Severed Palm, One Meter Sickle Becomes Evidence Of A Brawl In Tangerang

TANGERANG - Police have arrested a number of youths who were involved in a brawl in Karawaci District, Tangerang City, Banten. As a result of the clash of these two groups, two people were injured.

"There are victims, where there are two people, one arm is broken and one finger is severed," said the Tangerang City Metro Police Chief, Police Grand Commissioner Deonijiu De Fatima quoting PMJ, Saturday, August 28.

According to Deonijiu, this brawl took place on August 11, 2021. Previously, the two groups involved challenged each other on Instagram social media.

"The two parties attacked each other. They previously made an agreement on social media and carried sharp weapons," said the police chief at the Tangerang City Police Headquarters.

The Chief of Police explained that the Criminal Investigation Unit of Tangerang Metro Police conducted an investigation and processed the crime scene at the scene. As a result, his party arrested two suspects with the initials AYP and MS who injured the victim.

In addition to securing the suspect, he continued, the police confiscated evidence in the form of sharp weapons, namely a one-meter-long sickle and a motorbike.

"For their actions, the two suspects are suspected of Article 170 of the Criminal Code with a threat of five years in prison," he said.
