Joining Coalition, PAN Is Predicted To Get MSME Minister's Allotment

JAKARTA - The Cabinet reshuffle is blowing again after the National Mandate Party (PAN) joined the Jokowi-Ma'ruf government coalition. Paramadina University Political Observer Hendri Satrio, assessed that there would be professional ministers who were shifted to accommodate PAN in the cabinet.

Because according to him, Jokowi will not reduce ministerial seats from political parties. There is a possibility of a reshuffle, but the ministerial seats filled by political party cadres will not be tampered with," said Hendri, Saturday, August 28.

"So just check that there are several ministries that are filled by professionals now. For example, the Minister of Finance, the Minister of MSMEs, the Minister of Transportation, the Minister of Education and Technology, the Minister of Home Affairs," he continued.

However, Hendri predicts that the Ministry of MSMEs occupied by Teten Masduki will be handed over to PAN. "In terms of predictions, I think it's MSMEs that make PAN," he said.

Previously, Deputy Chairperson of the PAN DPP Viva Yoga Mauladi said the presence of general chairman Zulkifli Hasan at the Palace when President Jokowi met with leaders of pro-government political parties, Wednesday, August 25, confirmed the direction party coalition.
