Withdrawing From The Ummah Party, Agung Mozin Is Considered Incompatible With The President

JAKARTA - Political observer from Indonesia's Al Azhar University, Andriadi Achmad, assessed that Agung Mozin's resignation from the Ummat Party was due to a crucial problem within the party. Because, Agung is known as the main loyalist of Amien Rais since he was in PAN.

"One of the reasons could be because Agung Mozin's position as a senior figure and the Deputy Chairperson of the Ummat Party is not connected with young leaders such as the General Chair of the Ummat Party, Ridho Rahmadi (Amien Rais' son-in-law, Tasniem Fauzia Rais' husband, ed) and others," said Andriadi. to VOI, Friday, August 27. According to Andriadi, the closeness between Agung Mozin and Amien Rais is different from that between Agung Mozin and Ridho Rahmadi.

"In terms of background, it is quite difficult to get close, Agung Mozin is a senior figure, while Ridho Rahmadi is from a young, millennial figure," he said.

Regarding Agung Mozin's reason, because internally the Ummat Party is isolated and elitist, it does not prioritize morality, Andriadi sees that it is rather difficult to translate.

"Because at this time I think there is no political party that really has perfect ideals for the benefit of the ummah and society, there are indeed interests. In fact, almost all internal political parties are insulated and grouped together," he explained.

"Then, regarding Agung Mozin's statement, he said that because internal political parties lack deliberation, it could be, as I said at the beginning, there is a mismatch or no chemistry between Agung Mozin as Deputy Chairman of the General Elections Committee and the Chairman of the Ummat Party," continued Andriadi.

Therefore, according to Andriadi, Agung Mozin's resignation is a normal thing in politics, caused by internal conflicts, disappointment or incompatibility with other members.

However, Andriadi predicts Agung Mozin will not return to the National Mandate Party (PAN). However, Agung will take a break from the political stage.

"Returning to PAN doesn't seem like it, I haven't found until now there are figures who leave political parties, establish new political parties, then leave the new political parties and return to the original political parties. In my opinion, Agung Mozin could retire from practical politics," he said.
