Opick Hopes To Hold A 30-Year Working Concert This Year

JAKARTA - Religious Opick singer has high hopes in 2025. The man who is known for the song Tombo Ati wants to hold a special concert to celebrate his 30-year journey as a musician.

However, Opick said there was no certainty for the concert, because no promoter had yet wanted to hold it.

"I'm from '95, it's been 30 years, I want to have a 30-Year Opick Concert," Opick told the media crew in Tendean, South Jakarta, Tuesday, March 11.

"I myself started from rock, to the current (religious) music. Hopefully, someone can facilitate it," he continued.

Opick himself claimed to have held talks with several parties for his concert plans, but there is no certainty that it can be announced to the public.

"At least we chat from friends to friends. We've had several meetings, I want this year to be held, exactly 30 years, from '95, from Surabaya until now," said Opick.

"So, later we will bring the works that were rejected, accepted, and accepted until now - and later there will be a lot of songs," he added.

For information, Opick started his career as a singer who carries rock music. In the middle of the 2000s, he turned into a religious singer who carried the nuances of Islami.

Apart from 'Tombo Ati', some of the songs that are also known include 'Maha Seeing', 'Light of the Heart', 'Astaghfirullah', When Time T ends, Rapuh, and Ramadhan Arrives.
