Had Signed, One Member Of The Democratic Faction Of The DKI DPRD Canceled Participating In Interpellation Of Formula E

JAKARTA - A total of 33 DRPD members from the PDIP and PSI factions have officially submitted an interpellation right proposal to the Chair of the DKI DPRD. This interpellation proposal letter is accompanied by the signature of the DPRD member who submitted it. PDIP faction member Rasyidi said that previously there was one member of the Democratic Faction who also signed the interpellation letter. However, at the last second, he withdrew and canceled the signature.

"Actually there is one person from the Democratic Faction, but due to one reason or another, he withdrew," said Rasyidi at the DKI DPRD building, Thursday, August 26.

Rasyidi said that although the proposed right of interpellation is the right of every DPRD member, they must consider the decisions of their respective party factions.

"They withdrew because this is a matter for their respective parties. Even though the DKI Jakarta DPRD represents the people, it is the party's decision," he said.

Rasyidi said that the right of interpellation regarding Formula E was carried out based on the findings of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK). BPK considers that the implementation of Formula E has the potential to cause losses in the DKI Regional Budget.

"Based on the report on the results of the BPK examination, Formula E would not be profitable, but there is a potential loss. So, this is what we want to ask the Governor," said Rasyidi.

He explained, in 2020, DKI's APBD amounted to Rp. 58.95 trillion. The APBD revenue is only IDR 55 trillion. In detail, APBD revenues from tax elements are around Rp. 37 trillion, transport is Rp. 16 trillion, and others are Rp. 1.5 trillion.

So, Rasyidi asked the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan to understand that the DKI budget is currently running a deficit and it is difficult to budget for the implementation of Formula E in 2022.

"In other words, our funds are currently in a very difficult condition to prioritize our work," he explained.

In DKI Regional Regulation Number 1 of 2014 concerning the Regulations of the DKI DPRD, the right of interpellation is proposed to the leadership of the DPRD. The form of the right of interpellation this time was a meeting with Anies to question the reason why Formula E was defended.

Currently, the interpellation proposal has been implemented. Later, the Jakarta DPRD Deliberative Body will determine the schedule for the plenary meeting. When a plenary meeting is held, certainty of interpellation can be realized if the members of the council present meet a quorum of 50 percent + 1 or as many as 54 members of the DPRD.
