Chase The Gold Shop Robbers At Simpang Limun Medan, The Parking Attendant Is Shot

MEDAN - A robbery by gunmen took place at a gold shop at Simpang Limun market, Medan. In addition to stealing about 3 kilograms of gold, the perpetrator shot the parking attendant.

An eyewitness, Januar, who saw the shooting, said he heard an explosion from inside the market. Then, he saw the perpetrator running out of the market.

"He was chased, one of them was a parking attendant, he said while carrying a box of tofu from a merchant, he threw it. Meanwhile, the perpetrator on the train who was on standby said his friend was getting on quickly", he said, Thursday, August 26.

"The perpetrator was thrown in a tofu box, this robber was indeed hit, I think he had a goiter (did not accept) him, he was shot once, he immediately collapsed (parking attendant)," he continued.

Currently, he said, the victim had been taken to the hospital for help. The witness said there were 4 perpetrators.

"He said at Istomihi (Hospital) he was taken by rickshaw", he said

Separately, a security guard at Istomohi Hospital met by VOI confirmed that a shooting victim had entered the hospital. However, at this time, the victim has been referred to Mitra Sejati Hospital.

"I can't handle it here, bro. The tools are not complete, so they were taken to Mitra Sejati Hospital. The right side of the neck was shot", he said.

A group of armed robbers robbed a gold shop at Simpang Limun Market, Medan, Thursday, August 26, at around 2:50 pm.

The owner of the gold shop, Kasmawati, told the chronology of the robbery. The robbery, according to him, took place quickly and took him by surprise.

"He (the perpetrator) ran, jumped open the safe, I was shocked", said Kasmawati, Thursday, August 26.

At the time of the robbery, the perpetrator who was holding a firearm held himself at gunpoint.

"He was holding a gun, I was pointed at me, ready to scream, he held it again", explained Kasmawati.

The robbers stole almost 3 kilograms of gold. Losses are estimated at up to IDR 4 billion.

“About 3 kilos of gold, opened the safe, opened the drawer. There is a lot of London Gold in the drawer, it's around IDR 4 billion (estimated price, red)", said Kasmawati.
