JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmd Riza Patria said the number of recipients of social assistance (bansos) affected by the COVID-19 pandemic in July-December was gradually reduced. This was done by the provincial government, because Jakarta had entered the transitional PSBB.
"In the future, the number of basic food distribution will decrease, along with the relaxation and improvement of our economy," said Riza in a webinar discussion, Friday, June 26.
Even so, Riza has yet to disclose the number of reductions in recipients who have a DKI Jakarta Provincial Identity Card (KTP) and a Non-DKI Jakarta KTP, but live in the DKI Jakarta area.
It's just that, referring to the data for the third phase of social assistance distribution, targeting more than 2.4 million families in Jakarta who are categorized as poor and vulnerable to poverty due to the corona virus outbreak.
According to him, during the transitional PSBB period, a number of people had been active again. A number of business sectors have reopened and the transportation system is operating normally with reduced passenger capacity.
"Previously, online motorcycle taxis and businesses that did not work or died could work again. Therefore, later on, they gradually do not receive social assistance," said the Gerindra Party politician.
Furthermore, Riza said that his party continues to improve basic food assistance for the community, especially regarding quality and distribution time. However, at this time he admitted that there were still weaknesses in updating social security data.
In fact, he said, data is a national weakness. "When it comes to rice data alone, BPS data collection is different from the Ministry of Agriculture. BULOG also issues different data, the Ministry of Trade is also different. Why? Because the approach is different, the interests are different. For that, we need good cooperation regarding data," said Riza .
"Of course, we must have good primary data so that these reductions do not cause new problems," he continued.
