Two Police Shooting Guards Rizieq Shihab Tried At The East Jakarta District Court

JAKARTA - The case file for the alleged murder of Rizieq Shihab's bodyguard at KM 50 of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road, Karawang, West Java has been transferred to the East Jakarta District Attorney's Office and received by the Public Prosecutor (JPU) along with the evidence.

The delegation process was carried out by the Directorate of General Crimes, Bareskrim Polri, in the Hall of the First Floor of the Deputy Attorney General for General Crimes (JAM Pidum), Jakarta.

"Two case files and suspects respectively are in the name of Brigadier FR as a member of the Mobile Investigation (Resmob) Polda Metro Jaya and Ipda MYO as a member of the Mobile Investigation (Resmob) Polda Metro Jaya," said Kapuspenkum Indonesian Attorney General Leonard Eben Ezer in his statement, Monday 23 August.

Thus, the Public Prosecutor will prepare an indictment and based on the Decree of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 152 / KMA / SK / VIII / 2021 dated August 4, 2021 regarding the appointment of the East Jakarta District Court to examine and decide criminal cases on behalf of the Defendant Brigadier FR and the Defendant Ipda MYO .

"The Public Prosecutor will immediately transfer the Indictment and Case Files to the East Jakarta District Court to be tried and obtain legal certainty," he said.

In this case, the two suspects were charged with Article 338 of the Criminal Code jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) 1 of the Criminal Code concerning the crime of murder. Subsidiary of Article 351 paragraph (3) of the Criminal Code jo. Article 55 paragraph (1) of the 1st Criminal Code concerning persecution.
