CFD DKI In 32 Locations: Prioritized Cycling, Pedestrians Are Not Allowed To Hang Out

JAKARTA - The DKI Provincial Government has provided 32 locations for Vehicle Free Day (HBKB) or Car Free Day (CFD) as a substitute on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman-MH Thamrin during the COVID-19 pandemic. This HBKB takes place every Sunday morning, from 06.00 to 09.00 WIB.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, said that HBKB in 32 locations spread across 5 administrative cities of Jakarta are prioritized for bicycle users.

"Based on our evaluation at the implementation of HBKB yesterday there was a crowd. So, then we separated it into 32 locations, the facilities are special for cyclists," said Syafrin when confirmed by VOI, Thursday, June 25.

Even though it is prioritized for cyclists, pedestrians are still allowed to exercise, because these roads are also closed. It's just that people who come are only allowed to use the HBKB area only for jogging and are not allowed to gather at one point.

"Pedestrians can exercise there but still have to move, don't hang out. If the cyclists don't stop because they keep pedaling, we hope those who participate there (sports) also keep moving," said Syafrin.

"Because those who are clustered will certainly have an impact on residents who really need fitness. Do not make it a place to hang out, meet friends, gather, as if now the situation is normal, even though we are currently still in the transition period of implementing the PSBB," he continued. he.

Later, Syafrin will deploy 1,526 personnel from the Transportation Service, assisted by the Satpol PP and TNI-Polri in these 32 locations. For pedestrians who are found clustered together, they will be asked to leave the HBKB area.

Likewise, residents who trade in the HBKB area will also be disbanded. "Later there will be 639 Dishub ranks, 755 Satpol PP, then 132 TNI Polri who will take action. We ask them to get out of the public space for sports citizens," said Syafrin.
