The head of the Salemba Detention Center (Karutan), Yohanis Varianto said, today the prisoners were graduated after they went through Bible studies.

Yohanis explained that the inmates who graduated also received a charter certificate from the Salemba Rutan.
"This activity lasts for 6 months. Participants who participate are all inmates from various cases. Usually 30 people join each generation," he said.
This activity is aimed at spiritual development of the prisoners so that they know and explore religious knowledge.
"When these inmates are free, they must be able to change, no longer fall into crime," he said.
Yohanis also advised the students who were incarcerated that after being released or the prison term was over, they would continue to worship and behave well in the general public.
"I hope they will only be bright, and have love according to the teachings of the Bible. Deepen the religious knowledge that is in the Bible," he added.
