The Beginning Of The Feud Between John Kei And Nus Kei

JAKARTA - John Kei's dispute with his uncle, Nus Kei, was motivated by the problem of distributing money for land sales in Ambon. However, referring to statements from both parties, this problem is only caused by a misunderstanding.

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Yusri Yunus said, the beginning of the incident was when John Kei was imprisoned at the Nusa Kambangan Penitentiary (Lapas). At that time, he asked his uncle, Nus Kei, to take care of the land sale and purchase process in Ambon, Maluku.

"There was a land case where at that time John Kei asked Nus Kei to immediately take care of it because John Kei was at Nusa Kambangan at the time," said Yusri in Jakarta, Wednesday, June 24.

After serving a period of detention or leaving prison, John Kei then contacted Nus Kei to ask about the sale and purchase. Because, from the information obtained, the land sale process has been completed and the money has been received by his uncle.

However, based on Nus Kei's statement, the sales money has not been received by him at all. In fact, it has been informed to his nephew.

It's just that, John Kei is said to be impatient and can't believe his words. Because, John Kei thought that his uncle had received the money.

From that problem, John Kei gathered his men to find Nus Kei. The goal is to hurt him because he feels betrayed by Nus Kei.

"Yesterday, Pak Nus Kei had also conveyed that he was impatient or what," concluded Yusri.

Other problems were suspected

Police investigators continued to dig up information from John Kei regarding the case of mistreatment and house destruction, until one victim died. The police suspect that there is another motive behind the attack.

However, from the results of the examination that had been carried out, John Kei admitted that there was no other motive. John Kei told investigator that the reason for the attack was due to the problem of unequal distribution of assets.

"Actually, this is a personal matter that the results of John Kei's examination, he admits felt betrayed by Nus Kei. One of them is the problem of money or land, there are still several other (motives, ed) that John Kei has not disclosed, only he said that every time he was asked I was betrayed by Nus Kei, "said Yuri.

John Kei's attorney, Anton Sudanto, denied that his client was the mastermind of the attack by his subordinates. According to him, there is no solid evidence to prove this.

"Of course we deny it, because there is no evidence at all but this is still under investigation," said Anton.

Anton said, the current evidence must be proven and verified. It does not immediately mean that his client is the mastermind of the action.

"So let the investigators test it, we will see what the progress will be," said Anton.

He asked that investigators handling this case must prioritize the presumption of innocence. Because, there must be evidence and legal force to say someone is guilty or breaking the law.

"For John Kei, we still have to put forward that there is a presumption of innocence. We should not immediately blame someone before there is a permanent legal force," said Anton.
