Positive Cases Of COVID-19 In Lampung Increase By 375 People

BANDAR LAMPUNG - The Lampung Provincial Health Office noted that there had been an increase in positive confirmed cases of COVID-19, namely 375 people in the area.

"There are 375 additional positive cases of COVID-19 in Lampung", said Head of the Lampung Provincial Health Office, Reihana, quoted by Antara, Monday, August 16.

He said with the addition of 375 people who were confirmed positive for COVID-19, the total cases increased from 42,426 people to 42,801 people.

"The additional cases came from 14 regencies and cities, out of a total of 15 regencies and cities in Lampung", he said.

Reihana explained that in Pesisir Barat Regency there were 5 positive cases of COVID-19, Mesuji Regency 2 cases, Tanggamus 14 cases, Pringsewu there were 28 cases, Bandar Lampung City 61 cases, Metro 28 cases and Pesawaran 24 cases.

Furthermore, in North Lampung Regency 65 people were confirmed positive for COVID-19, 23 people in Central Lampung, 36 people in East Lampung, 52 people in West Lampung, 26 people in South Lampung, 10 people in Waykanan, and 1 person from Tulang Bawang.

"Besides that, there are also additions to 46 people who died, bringing a total of 3,098 cases", he said.

In detail, there were 2 cases of death due to COVID-19 in Pesisir Barat Regency, one person died in Tanggamus, 8 cases in Pringsewu, 2 cases in Pesawaran, and 11 cases in Central Lampung.

Then in East Lampung Regency, 2 people died, then West Lampung 1 person, South Lampung 8 people, Tulang Bawang 1 person, Bandar Lampung City 7 people, and Metro 3 people.

"In addition to the positive confirmed cases of COVID-19, there are also 68 new suspected cases, bringing a total of 617 people in the suspect category", said Reihana.

It is known that the risk zone for the spread of COVID-19 in Lampung Province now has 11 areas with red zone status and 4 other areas with orange zones.
