Having Da'wah Pulpits Throughout Indonesia, Novel Bamukmin Confidently Accompanies Anies In The 2024 Presidential Election

JAKARTA - Deputy Secretary General of the Alumni Brotherhood (PA) 212 Novel Bamukmin is confident that he can accompany Anies Baswedan in the 2024 presidential election as a vice presidential candidate. With a wealth of experience both in the field of da'wah and political parties, Novel is optimistic that it can be realized.

"We see my experience in da'wah, I have pulpits in almost all of Indonesia. I have pulpits in almost all of Indonesia in the field of da'wah. Likewise media activists, I am also a legal practitioner who wants to enforce the law because many ulama are discriminated against, injustice is everywhere," Novel said on the Refly Harun Podcast Youtube channel, Monday, August 16.

Novel explained that PA 212's desire to move forward was already known. This was in line with PA 212's desire to be involved in various aspects of political life, whether as a presidential candidate, legislative candidate or regent candidate.

"We have to win seats to be able to take part in the constitution together," said Novel.

However, Novel confirmed that the final decision on the matter would be determined in the Ijtima Ulama. The time could be a year before the 2024 presidential election is held

"It could be 2023. If the presidential election is tight, it can be done," explained Novel.

When asked further, is Novel not afraid that this step will actually be dangerous for Anies Baswedan? This is because the main consideration is the absence of political parties as vehicles for the 2024 presidential election.

"Actually, this is an opinion test (forward to the 2024 presidential election). We will see first. If we talk about eligibility, we can visit the party, communicate, whether it is appropriate or not," answered Novel.
