JAKARTA - The odd-even scheme during the implementation of the Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) is likely to be extended. It all depends on the decision of the Central Government on the end of the implementation of PPKM Level 4 today.

"We will see what developments are like, what the government's decision will be. If it is level 4, of course the odd-even will be extended, we will evaluate it," said Director of Traffic for the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Sambodo Purnomo Yogo to reporters, Monday, August 16.

The pay-genal scheme will be extended at the eight points because it is considered effective in limiting people's mobility. Moreover, the evaluation results while the community is very obedient to follow these rules.

"Very few vehicles are found that do not match the date of carrying out mobility in eight odd-even areas," said Sambodo.

However, regarding the percentage decrease in community mobility with the odd-even scheme, Sambodo has not been able to convey it. He reasoned that at this time it was still in the process of calculating.

"In the future, we will evaluate with stakeholders regarding whether these eight areas are reduced or maybe added because the facts and odd-even data are effective in reducing mobility in odd-even areas," said Sambodo.

For information, the odd-even scheme will be implemented on Thursday, August 12. Then, this scheme will take effect from 06.00 WIB to 20.00 WIB.

The odd-even scheme will also be implemented at 8 points, including Jalan Sudirman, Jalan MH Thamrin, Jalan Merdeka Barat, Jalan Majapahit, Jalan Gajah Mada, Jalan Hayam Wuruk, Jalan Pintu Besar Selatan, and Jalan Gatot Subroto.
