Gibran Focuses On Boosting COVID-19 Vaccinations For Pregnant Women And Children In Solo

SOLO - The Surakarta City Government, Central Java, is currently focusing on vaccinating COVID-19 for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers and children over 12 years old.

"All of the vaccines used by Sinovac", said Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka in Solo, quoted by Antara, Friday, August 13.

Gibran said that currently, the vaccine achievement in Solo has reached 75.03 percent. According to him, this achievement is quite high and will continue to be pursued in order to fulfill group immunity.

"People's enthusiasm is still high," he said.

Regarding vaccine activities, his party appreciates a number of parties who have been involved in the implementation of the program, including the Muhammadiyah organization.

"There was also a vaccine activity at the Muhammadiyah Hall. In addition, it was at PKU Sampangan Hospital and Soelastri Hospital. Muhammadiyah's participation was extraordinary, there (provided) public kitchens, vaccinations, curing, funerals, all of them were involved", said Gibran.

Previously, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan targeted the COVID-19 vaccination in the Soloraya area to be completed in September 2021.

Luhut said that there was no problem with the availability of vaccinations so far. According to him, the stock of vaccines for all of Indonesia has reached 70 million doses.

Furthermore, if the vaccine achievement is on target, the agglomeration area in Soloraya will be relaxed gradually.
