JAKARTA - Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK) Anwar Usman invites the panel of judges and all employees in the judiciary to use criticism as an encouragement to improve performance.

"Good cooperation so far has made the Constitutional Court exist, despite the many criticisms and even very sharp criticisms from various parties," said Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Anwar Usman in a ceremony to commemorate the 18th anniversary of the Constitutional Court which was broadcast virtually in Jakarta, Friday. .

At the ceremony, Anwar Usman expressed his gratitude to the honorable judges, clerks and all employees within the Constitutional Court who have shown dedication to the institution.

The Constitutional Court's Birthday Ceremony is the second time it has been held during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Despite the pandemic, Anwar invited all employees to remain grateful and celebrate the Constitutional Court's Birthday celebration with wisdom.

He said every time and period has different challenges. Currently, Indonesia and a number of countries in the world are hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, which forces them to make adjustments.

This adjustment also includes the Constitutional Court environment which requires all work patterns to adapt to new conditions.

"Similarly, in carrying out our duties as actors of judicial power, the trial process is no longer carried out in the usual way," he said.

This can be seen from the case registration process, examination of application equipment and evidence to the pronouncement of decisions that must adapt to new customary situations. Not only that, in the secretarial sector, employees who provide services also experience many challenges and performance dynamics.

"Work facilities and infrastructure to work situations are part of the challenges that must be passed," he said.

It is intended that the performance of the institution can still be carried out as it should. To ease these challenges, Anwar emphasized the importance of teamwork.
