Coordinating Minister Luhut Asks Balinese Residents Who Are Undergoing Self-isolation To Immediately Go To Integrated Isolation Place

BULELENG - Three Ministers namely Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Menko Marves) Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, and Minister of Health Budi Gunawan Sadikin went directly to review the handling of COVID-19 in Buleleng Regency, Bali.

The review began at the Ganesha Education University (Undiksha) Campus Dormitory in Jineng Dalem Village which was used as a Central Isolation (Isoter) place for patients confirmed positive for COVID-19 with symptoms (OTG) or mild symptoms.

Dandim 1609/Buleleng Lt. Col. Muhammad Windra Lisrianto, who is also the Deputy Chair of the Buleleng Regency COVID-19 Task Force, explained that the Undhiksa Campus Isoter has treated 523 patients. A total of 193 of them have been declared cured.

Apart from utilizing a block of student dormitories on the Undiksha Jineng Dalem Campus, the Isoter of COVID-19 patients in Buleleng was also carried out in the Bali Mandara and Kipan C Air Sanih vocational and high school dormitories.

According to Dandim, his party is trying to create the Isoter atmosphere as comfortable as possible so that patients can recover faster. In addition, he assessed that the Isoter pattern is more effective because the administration of drugs and consultation of medical personnel can be carried out more intensively.

To accelerate the control of COVID-19 in the Buleleng area, his staff continues to collect data on positively confirmed residents who are still self-isolating at home.

"We will pick them up and direct them to undergo isolation in Isoters", said Lisrianto, Thursday, August 12.

In addition to visiting the Isoter location of the Jineng Dalem Campus, the ministerial entourage also visited SDN 3 Jineng Dalem, which is one of the places for the COVID-19 vaccination.

Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Luhut Pandjaitan said that Bali recorded the best vaccination achievement compared to other regions.

The problem is the existence of Isoter places which according to him should be reproduced in regencies and cities.

"There is no problem with the vaccine, the problem is Isoter", he said.

After directly monitoring the Isoter management at the Undhiksa Campus Dormitory, Luhut said Buleleng could be used as a model for Isoter management in other districts.

"From the report earlier, all those undergoing isolation here have recovered and so far no one has died", he said.

Reflecting on what has been done in other areas that have succeeded in controlling the number of COVID-19, Luhut encourages all regencies and cities in Bali to make Isoters.

"In the Isoter's place, the bed is good, the food is good, the doctors and nurses are there, the medicine is also there, the exercise is coordinated. Those who are still self-isolating at home must go to the Isoter so they don't spread it to other family members", he said.

Coordinating Minister Luhut hopes that a well-managed Isoter will be the key in efforts to reduce COVID-19 cases in Bali. Because if the case is still high, outsiders will judge that Bali is not disciplined in health protocols.
