15-year-old Girl From Mukomuko Has Been Kidnapped Since July 14, The Perpetrator Hides In Her Parents And Uncle's House

MUKOMUKO - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Mukomuko District Police, Bengkulu, arrested a young man with the initials HN for allegedly taking away a 15-year-old girl in Lingga Bayu District, Mandailing Natal District, North Sumatra.

"This is a case of abduction of minors. Based on reports from the victim's parents that their 15-year-old child has been kidnapped since July 14, 2021," said Mukomuko Police Chief, AKBP Andy Arisandi in a statement at Mukomuko, Antara, Thursday, August 12.

The arrest of the perpetrator began with a report from the victim's parents to the Mukomuko Criminal Investigation Unit PPA Unit. Led by KBO Reskrim Ipda Kurtani, the police then conducted a series of investigations.

It is known that HN was at his parents' house at the Mandailing Natal Connection. The team then immediately moved to the parents' residence and it turned out that the perpetrator was no longer with the victim.

Furthermore, based on information from parents, the perpetrator headed to Lingga Bayu District, Mandailing Natal Regency, which is about 200 kilometers from his house.

The team then headed to Lingga Bayu District and coordinated with the Lingga Bayu Police to investigate the whereabouts of the perpetrators.

Then on the fourth day, it was discovered that the perpetrator and the victim were in Simpang Durian Village, Batang Lobung Hamlet, Lingga Bayu District, Mandailing Natal Regency.

It turned out that the perpetrator was at his uncle's house and the perpetrator worked daily in the oil palm plantation, then the team arrested the perpetrator who was with the victim when he returned from the oil palm plantation.

As a result of his actions, HN is threatened with being charged with Article 330 of the Criminal Code and Article 332 of the Criminal Code with a threat of seven years in prison and with Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection with a threat of 15 years in prison.
