South Sulawesi Acting Governor Andi Sudirman Take A Peek At The Public Kitchen Of Fire Victims In Makassar, Here's The Condition

MAKASAR – The victims of the fire on Jalan Muhammad Tahir, Makassar received a visit from the Acting Governor of South Sulawesi Andi Sudirman Sulaiman. Andi came to see the condition of the public kitchen and ensure that the food needs of the fire victims were met.

Andi hopes that the South Sulawesi Provincial Social Service and Makassar City Social Service will work together to help fire victims in fulfilling their daily needs, as well as managing aid.

"Of course we want the Makassar City Government to cooperate with the Provincial Government for food needs. Especially for tonight. I think food needs are the first," Andi explained, quoting Antara, Wednesday, August 11.

Andi directly saw the initial location of the fire and checked the condition of the 123 heads of families (KK) who were victims of the fire.

At the location, Andi had time to chat with several victims, while distributing masks to residents. Andi also appealed to residents to always maintain health conditions and comply with health protocols.

Andi tried to calm the victims and asked the affected residents to remain patient in facing the trials that befell them.

The Acting Governor of South Sulawesi on that occasion also handed over logistical assistance from the South Sulawesi BPBD to the fire victims.

The fire broke out on Wednesday morning and caused 110 houses to burn and as many as 123 heads of families became victims of the incident.
