TNI Commander Assists 100 Oxygen Concentrator Units To North Sumatra Province

JAKARTA - TNI Commander Marshal, Hadi Tjahjanto, provided 100 units of medical equipment in the form of oxygen concentrators to North Sumatra Province for handling COVID-19 patients.

The aid was received on Tuesday, August 10 today at the Soewondo Military Air Base, Medan.

"I represent the TNI Commander in handing over 100 oxygen concentrators to North Sumatra Province. This assistance is not only in North Sumatra, we have just handed it over to Padang, West Sumatra", said Chief of Staff of Military Area Command I the Bukit Barisan, Brigadier General Didied Pramudito, as quoted by Antara, Tuesday evening.

He said that the assistance was a form of TNI's concern and support for the government in handling COVID-19 cases in Indonesia.

"This is a form of the TNI Commander's concern for all parts of Indonesia by distributing oxygen concentrators", he said.

He hopes that the assistance provided can help all COVID-19 referral hospitals in North Sumatra in handling COVID-19 patients during the pandemic.

"Hopefully the lack of oxygen will be at least helped. We hope that in the future it will be even better", he said.

This oxygen concentrator aid, said Didied Pramudito, will later be distributed to 32 regencies/cities in North Sumatra for handling COVID-19 patients.

"This assistance was preceded last night, for Medan City 100. So this 100 will be distributed to 32 other regencies/cities and several hospitals in Medan outside those managed by the Medan City Government", said Expert Staff to the Governor of North Sumatra, Agus Tri Priono.

The handover was also attended by the Mayor of Medan Bobby Nasution, the Chairman of the North Sumatra Regional House of Representatives, Baskami Ginting, and several other officials.
