JAKARTA - A total of 34 foreign workers (TKA) from China entered Indonesia when PPKM level 4 took effect. The Chinese foreign workers who hold Limited Stay Permits (ITAS) entered via Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on Saturday, August 7, yesterday. The foreigners who landed at Soetta Airport boarded a Citilink aircraft with code QG8815 carrying 37 passengers, consisting of 34 foreigners. and 3 Indonesian citizens. The plane was carrying 19 crew members, all of whom were Indonesian citizens. The coordinator of the Clean Indonesia Movement (GIB), Adhie Massardi, quipped that workers from China are now not included in the category of foreigners who are prohibited from coming to Indonesia.

"Foreign workers (TKA) who were prevented from preventing the Minister of Law and Human Rights are definitely not from China. Because workers from China are not foreign anymore," said Adhie Massardi, quoted from his Twitter account, Monday, August 9.

The government itself initially gave fresh air to the Indonesian people who were restless about giving the red carpet through Permenkumham 27/2021 last July. However, it turns out that there is a gap in the Minister of Law and Human Rights concerning Restrictions on Foreigners Entering Territories during the Emergency PPKM Period. There are exceptions for five groups of foreigners, namely those who have official and diplomatic visas, holders of official residence permits and diplomatic residence permits, who have health and humanitarian purposes. with the recommendations of the relevant ministries/institutions, as well as the crew of the means of transportation.

It is this reason that allegedly made 34 Chinese citizens enter Indonesia through Soetta Airport using a Citilink aircraft with the code QG8815 on Saturday, August 7, yesterday.

"Chinese foreign workers are no longer foreign, so they are free to come to the Republic of Indonesia at any time," said Adhie Massardi again.
