BPK Finds KJP Plus Given To Graduated Students, DKI Provincial Government: No Losses, Funds Not Disbursed

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Provincial Inspector Syaefuloh Hidayat explained the findings of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) on the distribution of KJP Plus to 1,146 students who had graduated from school.

Syaefuloh said the funds were not included in regional losses. The education aid funds have not been disbursed and are still in the holding accounts of the Education Office and Bank DKI.

"According to BPK's recommendation, the funds are still in temporary accounts until all parties involved have passed the verification according to the provisions. So the funds have not been disbursed and this is not a regional loss," Syaefuloh said in his statement, Sunday, August 8.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Education Office, Nahdiana, admitted that his party had checked the KJP system that had been verified by schools.

"Based on the report on the results of the book-entry of KJP Plus Phase 2 of 2020 funds from Bank DKI to the accounts of the recipients of KJP as many as 1,145 students, in accordance with the amount of KJP funds for phase 1 of 2021. The data is also in accordance with the results of verification from the school/madrasa from which the students came. And As a result, these students are still in school with the status of advancing from the equivalent of elementary school to equivalent junior high school, and from equivalent junior high school to equivalent high school," explained Nahdiana.

Meanwhile, for 1 other student, based on the book-entry report from Bank DKI, the KJP Plus Phase 2 Year 2020 funds were not disbursed because the student was canceled as a KJP plus recipient because he had graduated from high school.

Previously, the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) found that DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan was still paying KJP Plus educational assistance to thousands of KJP Plus recipients who had graduated from school.

In the report on the results of the examination of the 2020 DKI Provincial Government financial statements, which was approved by the Head of DKI BPK, Pemut Aryo Wibowo, 1,145 students from the KJP Plus recipients have graduated from their schools and they are still receiving the 2020 KJP Plus phase II from the DKI Provincial Government. The value is Rp. 2.3 billion.

"Supposedly, student data (already graduated) in the SK KJP Plus stage I should not be re-recorded in the SK KJP Plus stage II for the academic year July to December 2020 because the student should have ended the academic year until June in the distribution of KJPP funds stage I," said Pemut in the inspection report.
