Ganjar Pranowo Asks Central Java Residents Not To Be Careless In The Face Of COVID-19 Even Though The BOR Level At The Hospital Is Good

JAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo asked all residents in the province not to be careless about the transmission of the Coronavirus, even though the bed occupancy rate (BOR) in hospitals that treat COVID-19 patients is quite good.

"The BOR (currently, ed.) is 50.78 percent, but we added a lot yesterday. But don't be careless, yes, even though our BOR is good 50.78 percent, but please don't take this as a note that it seems if Central Java is good", he said after visiting the Banyumas Vaccination Center at the Satria Sports Center complex, Purwokerto, Banyumas Regency, Friday afternoon.

He said that Central Java's condition was improving but not yet good, so his party needed support from the community.

According to him, this is because active positive cases in Central Java are still relatively high.

"So why did I come today, August 6 to Banyumas, because the highest active positive cases were in Banyumas, 2,613 cases, so later if "wow I don't have that much data", we will clarify later, because this data is also a collection, continue Klaten, Cilacap, Purworejo. The addition of the highest cases, today is Purworejo, Klaten, Banyumas, Cilacap, these are examples of the existing sequences", said Ganjar.

Based on data presented on the corona.jatengprov.go.id page as of August 6, 2021, at 16.00 WIB, the number of patients who were confirmed positive and being treated at various hospitals in Central Java as well as self-isolation was recorded at 31,330 people.

The number of patients who recovered from COVID-19 was 348,342 people or an increase of 4,188 people, while the positive confirmed patients who died were 25,441 people. This number includes patients who live outside the Central Java region but are being treated in Central Java.
